Honoring the Legacy
of Paul Gibbons
1968 - 2024
Founded in Logan by Paul Gibbons, our firm has been a trusted part of the Cache Valley community for decades. Paul’s leadership shaped an approach built on integrity, hard work, and dedication to clients.
Hyrum Paul Gibbons (1968–2024), founder of Gibbons & Associates, passed away on July 13, 2024, following a tragic mountain biking accident in Whistler, Canada. He was 55.
Paul built his life around faith, family, and service. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, he learned early the values of hard work, integrity, and leadership—qualities that shaped both his personal life and his career. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he earned his Master’s Degree in Accounting from Utah State University, where he met his wife, Arla. They were married on April 21, 1995.
As a CPA and business owner, Paul was known for his charisma, generosity, and ability to connect with people. He founded Gibbons & Associates with a vision of providing not only expert accounting and tax services, but also genuine guidance and care for the people behind the numbers. His influence extended beyond the office through community work, including helping establish Cache Trails Alliance and founding Tag Lending LLC.
Paul’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife Arla, their six children, and three grandchildren. His legacy lives on through the firm he built, the community he strengthened, and the countless lives he impacted through his leadership and kindness.
